(38) LedaAsteroid (38) Leda is one of the objects in the main asteroid-belt between Mars and Jupiter and measures slightly over 100 kilometres in diameter. On April 1, 2024 around 21:45UTC the asteroid was lust below cluster M67. That evening I was imaging Messier 67 (M67) for two and a half hours and after processing I noticed that (38) Leda had left a RGBL-trail in the image. Imaging was done with the SkyWatcher Esprit 150ED and ZWO ASI1600 Pro Cool camera. The animation shown here was made of the first and last sub I took that evening and cropped to the area around (38) Leda. Click here for the full animation. Click here for the full M67 image with (38) Leda as RGBL-trail. If you have any questions and/or remarks please let me know. |
